Welcome to the website of EVM Europe, the European organization to bring practitioners and researchers together to share new ideas, to stimulate innovative research and to advance the state-of-the-art and best practices on project control. At EVM Europe, research meets practice at our yearly conferences. After Geneva (Switzerland), Ghent (Belgium) and Valencia (Spain), EVM Europe moves to the north. It is our pleasure to let you know that the fourth annual EVM Europe conference will be held at Twente, The Netherlands, on November 28-29, 2012.

November 28-29, 2012: EVM Europe conference is up and running: interesting talks, critical questions, nice coffee breaks and everybody seems to be happy.
November 20, 2012: IPMA NL has agreed to become a partner of EVM Europe 2012 (read here, in Dutch).
November 13, 2012: Integrated project control in the Netherlands: read the column of Marco Buijnsters, local organizer of EVM Europe 2012 here (in Dutch).
November 10, 2012: Parts of the website are now available in Dutch.
November 1, 2012: The early bird registration (reduced price) has been extended to November 15, 2012.
October 20, 2012: The call for abstracts is now closed. The program schedule and the brochure is out and can be downloaded here (or alternatively, go the the "Program" menu and follow the "Program Schedule"). The brochure is out and will be sent to our partners.
October 11, 2012: The call for abstracts is about to end. Still interested to submit an abstract? Submit it now. The programme schedule, including keynote speaker, will be put online soon.
October 5, 2012: The titels and authors of the accepted paper have been put online at www.evm-europe.eu/program_schedule. The call for abstracts is still open and can still be sent to email@example.com (more information can be found here).
September 28, 2012 Ghent University, Vlerick Business School and University of Twente have been added as partners of EVM Europe 2012. Ghent University and Vlerick Business School have been responsible for the organization of the event in 2010.
September 20, 2012: A second call for papers has been sent and Balance has been added as a sponsor for EVM Europe 2012.
September 16, 2012:Recently, we received some emails from people who are new to EVM Europe and consider to visit our Twente 2012 edition. Upon request of these newcomers, we have put the programs of the two previous editions online (2010 (Ghent) and 2011 (Valencia)). We are still working on the 2012 program, and as soon as all speakers have been registrated, we will put the 2012 program schedule online. In the meantine, don't forget to register by clicking on the button above.
September 5, 2012: The CPM logo has been added to the EVM Europe website as a supporting association. A link to our website is available at the Research and Standards webpage.
August 15, 2012: Wednesday, August 15, 2012, EVM Europe board member Dr Pierre Bonnal has given a keynote presentation at the PMOz conference in Melbourne, Australia. He will also give two seminars, one in Sydney upon an invitation of the PMI Sydney Chapter and one in Canberra, upon an invitation of the PMI Canberra Chapter. On all these occasions, Pierre will promote the "continental approach to project controls".
August 12, 2012: After a well-deserved break, the EVM Europe board members returned home and are ready to go on with the organization of the event in Twente.
July 11, 2012 - August 10, 2012: After a series of meetings that have led to a wondeful team consisting of the traditional board members and new partners from the University of Twente, the board of EVM Europe will take a break to return mid August. Obviously, online registration and call for papers are still open. Upon return, the board will continue with the organization of the upcoming event in Twente. We will then come back to you with more news and an updated call for papers with keynote speakers, new sponsors, more information on our new 'business games' initiative, etc. In the meantime, the board wishes all potential participants, speakers and sponsors a good and well deserved holiday break.
July 11, 2012: Yesterday, on Wednesday, July 11, 2012, we had a good meeting in Twente with the three board members and the local organizer mentioned in an earlier news feed (July 8, 2012). Good news is that Prof. Dr. Joop Halman and Saad Al-Jibouri, both from the university of Twente, will join the local organizing team. It has also been decided to clarify a few issues, displayed by the three buttons above: mission - theme - support. A final decision was to assign a 1 hour time slot to the conference schedule that will be dedicated on presenting four business games. A summary of the meeting has been tweeted here.
July 8, 2012: Next Wednesday, July 11, 2012, EVM Europe board members Mario Vanhoucke, Stephan Vandevoorde and Pierre Bonnal will meet in Twente with Marco Buijnsters to discuss the settings of the next EVM Europe event in November. They will visit the location, talk about sponsorships and keynote speakers, discuss the practical details and... of course, all this will be followed by a lunch.
June 30, 2012: First partnership agreement signed! PMI Belgium is partner (again) to EVM Europe 2012! Unlike sponsorship agreements, partnerships are restricted to non-for-profit membership organizations. From now on, all PMI Belgium members can subscribe as partner members with a € 50 discount.
June 18, 2012: EVM in Euros! Positive news from the US on the keynote presentation at EVM World can be found here. Hopefully a good sign that US people will visit EVM Europe.
June 10, 2012: The call for abstracts for EVM Europe 2012 has been sent to our email contacts. Pricing information is now available, and registrations can be done by both online and wire transfer payments on the new registration page. This information has also been put online at the OR-AS blog.
June 1, 2012: EVM World was interesting, inspiring and pleasant. Interesting talks, nice people and a lot of EVM. The keynote speech by EVM Europe board members Mario Vanhoucke and Stephan Vandevoorde was a success, we believe. Find more info here.
May 21, 2012: EVM Europe board members Mario Vanhoucke and Stephan Vandevoorde will give a keynote presentation at the 28th Annual International EVM World 2012 Conference with the central theme "Research meets Practice". More information can be found here. Jeroen Colin, speaker at EVM Europe 2010 (Ghent, Belgium) and 2011 (Valencia, Spain), will also give a presentation on integrated project control. Marco Buijnsters, responsible for the local organization of EVM Europe 2012, will talk there about his practical EVM experiences in Dutch projects.
May 14, 2012: Now that we are moving forward quickly to the fourth EVM Europe conference, we have published the review of the third Spanish 2011 edition and the announcement of the fourth edition made by Kym Henderson in the Measurable News on our website. May 7, 2012: Location and hotel information as well as registration details and a call for abstracts are available online. A page to register is under construction and a call for abstract will be sent in the next coming weeks to our potential participants and speakers. Keep in touch.
January, 2012: Meeting of the organizing committee in Brussels. The fourth annual earned value conference for Europe, the yearly conference where research meets practice will be held in Twente, The Netherlands at conference center the “Drienerburght”, Twente University campus.

December, 2011: The third annual earned value conference in Spain was a success and has brought together researchers and practitioners in a nice setting at the Polytechnic University of Valencia. The keyword was discussion and sharing ideas.
